1. About Janodel

Janodel is an online matchmaking service based in the Netherlands. Website: https://www.janodel.com. Contact: support@janodel.com.

Effective date: 31 October 2026. Creating an account requires agreement to these Terms and acknowledgment of the Privacy Policy. The acceptance screen expressly explains questionnaire use for matching. It does not grant new permission to share sensitive answers.

2. Eligibility and accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract.
• Provide accurate information and keep your account credentials secure.
• Do not impersonate another person, create deceptive accounts, or transfer an account without permission.
• Tell us promptly at support@janodel.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. The service

Janodel privately evaluates compatibility and may present introductions. It is not a public profile catalogue. A match, introduction, reply, relationship, marriage, or particular outcome is never guaranteed.

For an eligible private introduction, either participant can use a credit to open both profiles and chat without mutual interest first. Unlocked participants can see the intended questionnaire answers, subject to sensitive-sharing choices. Surname and exact birth date remain private; account email and phone number are not revealed by unlocking. Selfie review checks resemblance to profile photos, not guaranteed government identity or age. Some introductions may involve people whose selfies or photos are not yet approved.

4. Safety and conduct

• Treat others respectfully and obtain consent before moving communication outside Janodel.
• Do not harass, threaten, discriminate, defraud, solicit money, distribute intimate material without consent, or use Janodel for commercial or unlawful activity.
• Report suspicious or unsafe conduct through the available reporting tools or support@janodel.com.
• Janodel may review reports and restrict, suspend, or close accounts when reasonably necessary for safety, legal compliance, or enforcement of these Terms.

5. Credits and payments

• One pack costs EUR 19.99 and adds 6 credits. Credits are available only after confirmed payment.
• Purchased credits are valid for 6 months from successful payment. Restricted eligible starter credits are used first, then earliest-expiring purchased credits, then earned credits.
• For new introductions, either participant can use one credit to open profiles and chat for both people. The recipient has 48 hours from opening to send a message. If the recipient ends or blocks the connection before messaging, or does not message within that time, the credit returns without expiry. If the person who used the credit ends the connection, it is not returned. After the recipient sends a message, the credit is permanently used and no response timer remains. Reading or viewing alone does not count as a reply.
• A credit released after an introduction is declined or times out is returned without expiry. Returned starter credits keep their Iran-only eligibility restrictions. After the recipient has sent a message, ending or blocking the connection does not return the credit.
• A successful referral earns two credits after the invited new user completes all 40 questions and their required photos and selfie are approved. Earned referral credits never expire and can be used worldwide. Self-referrals and duplicate or fraudulent accounts do not qualify.
• Any privately approved starter grant is limited to its stated eligibility and usage conditions and is not automatically issued by registration or a profile-country change.
• Credits are personal, non-transferable, have no cash value, and are not cash refunds. Stripe checkout availability depends on payment eligibility; earned credits do not require a purchase.
• Stripe processes payments. Janodel does not store complete card or bank credentials. The final price, currency and payment method are shown at checkout before payment.

6. Cancellation, withdrawal, and refunds

Purchases are not refundable merely because you change your mind, are dissatisfied with Janodel, or no longer wish to use credits after the service has been supplied, except where applicable consumer law requires otherwise.

Consumers generally have a 14-day statutory withdrawal period for distance service contracts, starting when the contract is concluded. Credit use does not automatically remove this right. Any lawful charge for service supplied during that period depends on the required information and express request to begin performance. 7. Your content

You keep ownership of information, messages, and photos you submit. You grant Janodel a limited licence to host, process, display, and moderate that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.

You must have the right to upload your content. Do not upload unlawful content or another person's personal or intimate material without permission.

8. Availability and responsibility

We aim to keep Janodel available and secure, but temporary interruptions may occur. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded, including mandatory consumer rights.

Janodel is not responsible for users' conduct outside its reasonable control. Use appropriate caution before meeting anyone and choose a safe public place.

9. Moderation, complaints, and appeals

Janodel may remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts, reject verification, or stop an introduction when content or conduct appears unlawful, unsafe, fraudulent, or incompatible with these Terms. Where required, Janodel will provide a clear reason and a way to challenge the decision.

You may report unlawful content, scams, impersonation, threats, harassment, or safety concerns through in-app tools or support@janodel.com. Complaints about moderation decisions can be sent to the same address.

10. Ending use

You may delete your account through the app. Janodel may suspend or close an account for serious or repeated violations, fraud, safety risks, or legal requirements. Where appropriate, we will explain the decision and provide a way to contact support.

11. Law, changes, and contact

These Terms are governed by Dutch law, without removing any mandatory protections available in your country of residence. Material changes will be communicated in the app or by email before they take effect when required.
